Affiliate, AI and the Creator Economy: A new digital workforce emerges
25 Aug 2025From 22 to 27 July, our Instagram feed came alive with the colours, textures, and stories of Sarawak. Through our Sarawak Day Giveaway, we set out to do more than just run a contest, we wanted to spotlight Sarawak’s hidden gems through the authentic voices of local creators.
The brief was simple:
Follow, like, comment and for those who want to go the extra mile, share a photo or reel capturing what makes Sarawak special. Whether it was a favourite street food stall, a quiet riverbank at sunrise, or a cultural performance brimming with tradition, we wanted our community to take us there through their lens.
In the end, we received six entries. But what they lacked in quantity, they more than made up for in quality, creativity, and heart. These weren’t just posts for the sake of entering a contest, they were thoughtful, well-crafted pieces of content that told real stories. Each entry showed us a unique corner of Sarawak, from the familiar to the undiscovered.
Our judging panel reviewed every submission based on creativity, relevance, and completeness, and selected four winners whose work truly embodied the spirit of Sarawak Day. The winning entries didn’t just tick the boxes, they inspired, informed, and celebrated the richness of local culture.
For us, this wasn’t just a fun engagement activity. It was a reminder of the strength and potential within our creator community. Even in a smaller-scale activation, the right call-to-action can spark authentic, high-quality content that speaks to audiences in a way branded ads simply can’t.
This is the kind of grassroots creativity that brands can tap into. When you collaborate with engaged, passionate creators, you’re not just getting posts, you’re getting stories that resonate. Stories that feel real because they are real. And in today’s digital space, that authenticity is what drives connection and action.
Looking ahead, we’ll be repurposing some of these submissions as user-generated content (UGC) in future campaigns, and we plan to re-engage these creators for upcoming collaborations. With the level of creativity we’ve seen, we’re excited to explore even bigger, more interactive campaigns in the months ahead.
For brands watching this space, the takeaway is clear: Xamble’s creator network isn’t just active, it's passionate, authentic, and ready to tell stories that matter. Whether it’s a niche local celebration or a nationwide campaign, our community knows how to create content that captures attention and leaves a lasting impression.
